Great Lakes, Gurgaon, was founded by Padma Shri Awardee Dr. Bala V. Balachandran and Mr. Mohan Lakhamraju as the second campus of Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai. Dr. Bala V. Balachandran was the Founder, Chairman of the Board of Governors & Dean (Emeritus) of Great Lakes Institute of Management, and Mr. Mohan Lakhamraju is the Vice-Chairman of Board of Governors & CEO of Great Lakes Institute of Management.
Within 10 years of its establishment, Great Lakes, Gurgaon, has emerged as one of India’s most innovative business schools today, pioneering the adoption of cutting-edge technology in business decision making. It became the youngest Indian business school to receive the prestigious AMBA (UK) accreditation in 2019. It was the first B-School in India to offer an Analytics specialization in 2013 and also the first B-School in the country to offer a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in 2018.
